We are excited to offer our first review of a broad spectrum product, a hemp oil CBD tincture from a recently discovered manufacturer (we just finished reviewing the first product from this company, their CBD Fruit Snacks). Before we start this review, we offer a brief overview of how we score and rank each reviewed product.
Table of Contents
Ranking Reviewed Products
Our scoring algorithm ranks four categories:
- Potency – this objective analysis is performed by an independent professional group who scientifically analyzes and reports upon the amount of CBD content present in the product under reviews to compare against its labeled claim
- Effects – while subjective, our experienced testers rank the effects they experience
- Taste – also subjective, readers get a heads up as to the actual flavor of reviewed products
- Packaging – the last subjective analysis concerns the efficacy and appeal of the product packaging
Each category begins with the default value of 10 points, from which points are deducted by our testers and through third-party analysis. Our 8-point weighted system allocates the most points (five) to the potency score, with each remaining category allotted one point. Now that you have a basic understanding of how we score our reviewed products, it’s time to learn about CBD Infusionz and their broad spectrum hemp oil CBD tincture.
CBD Infusionz
If you read our review of the CBD Fruit Snacks produced by CBD Infusionz, you already know the difficulty we had in learning much about the people who developed this company and product. The focus of the company and website appears to be twofold: to present their products to the consuming public and to offer reselling opportunities for wholesalers, affiliates, and those interested in developing broker networks. We assume it is because of their secondary marketing efforts that they keep a low profile concerning the creators of this enterprise.
Nevertheless, we found products offered on the CBD Infusionz website to represent one of the broadest ranges of CBD products, such as:
- Capsules
- Concentrates
- Drinks
- Edibles
- Lotions
- Oils
- Pet Products
- Vapes
Viewing from the perspective of the consumer, this is a decently designed website offering sufficient information on the various products we examined.
As our focus for this review was to learn about their hemp oil CBD tinctures, we next headed over to their section on tinctures.
Broad Spectrum Hemp Oil CBD Tincture with MCT Oil (600 mg)
The company has two types of tinctures for sale on their website: they are both hemp oil CBD tinctures which use MCT oil, with one type being a full spectrum CBD and the other using broad spectrum CBD. For this review, we selected broad spectrum, partly because we have not yet had the chance to review this type of hemp oil before now. (Curious about the difference? So were many other readers, which inspired us to offer a detailed explanation in our article, Forms of CBD: Full Spectrum vs. Broad Spectrum vs. Isolate vs. Nano.)
As with all tinctures, these come in various-sized bottles with their own droppers built into the cap. Shoppers are provided with four mg size options (all in 1-ounce bottles, each offering 29 servings):
- 300 mg – approximately 10.3 mg CBD per serving
- 600 mg – approximately 20.6 mg CBD per serving
- 1200 mg – approximately 41.4 mg CBD per serving
- 5280 mg – approximately 182 mg CBD per serving
The ingredients are straightforward:
- Medium Chain Triglyceride (MCT) Oil – it is universally agreed that this is the most effective carrier oil for delivering CBD and other phytocannabinoids to the human body
- Naturally Occurring Cannabinoid Oil – being a broad spectrum product, all phytocannabinoids which naturally occur in the hemp plant are added, excepting any THC compounds
To our expert reviewers, you can’t get any cleaner or simpler than this! Reading a list of only two ingredients, one of which is the broad spectrum CBD and other phytocannabinoids produced by the hemp plant (minus any trace of THC) translates to a pure experience, so our testers were more than ready to proceed to the actual testing and independent analysis!
The CBD Informative Testing and Rating
We had high expectations for a strong result in the potency category, since their previously tested product (the CBD Fruit Snacks) logged in a solid 10 out of 10 with a very accurate (under 4% variance) CBD count. So off the product went to Level One Labs, our reliable and regular cannabis testing lab. We are looking for results showing a CBD content within a 10% of the CBD content as stated on the label; variances above 10% begins penalizing this score by reducing points.
Third Party Test Results
Frankly, the results surprised us, because of our high expectations. This is because the Certificate of Analysis from Level One Labs showed only 488 mg of CBD in our 600 mg bottle, a very large variance of 18.64%! Even more disturbing is the COA included with the tincture we received from the company, as this showed a total of 628.4 mg in the same bottle, a variance in the other direction of about 5%. Of course, we stand by our own lab report, which is more recent, consistent with prior reviews, and (we believe) more accurate.
Unfortunately, this earned CBD Infusionz a major markdown in the first stage of our review, with a 9.14 score for potency. While not an auspicious beginning, our testers were still anxious to experience their first batch of a broad spectrum CBD tincture.

CBD Informative Assessment
As always, our first assessment begins at their website…
The Manufacturer – CBD Infusionz
We still believe businesses are best served through transparency, which we miss with CBD Infusionz, since we have no backstory about its origins, or even a mission statement. The next opportunity a company has to impress prospects and customers is through superior packaging, something we always emphasize as important both aesthetically and psychologically.
There is no way around it: we were not impressed with the packaging. It almost felt as if we tumbled back a few decades, where MS Paint and/or MS Word were the best design tools available. We honestly believe in positively promoting your brand, particularly the logo; in this case, with a seemingly ho-hum attitude towards their brand messaging, we were compelled to deduct one and a half points, reducing the packaging score to a not-so-impressive 8.5 out of 10.
The Product – Broad Spectrum Hemp Oil CBD Tincture with MCT Oil (600 mg)
As we evaluate the product, we are examining two aspects: its taste and its effects.
We also would like to note that this is the first truly flavorless tincture we have reviewed. While we did have a recent review of a full spectrum CBD oil by CBD Emporium which claimed to be flavorless, our testers certainly detected a slight flavoring. In this situation, we really did encounter a tincture that lacked any sort of noticeable taste. So how do you rate taste on a flavorless tincture? In this case, we gave it pretty high marks, even though it seemed odd to be ingesting a liquid without any taste. We do see the value of such a product, as adding it to other beverages will not alter the flavor of the original drink in any manner. The final consensus among our testers produced a strong 9.0 out of 10 for taste (or lack thereof).
As to effects, our testers were already aware of the poor lab results which delivered a low 9.14 score on potency, so perhaps there was a subconscious bias which influenced the team. There was overall agreement that the effects were good, but gnawing at the back of everyone’s mind was that low potency score. Because of that, the team ended up with a final score of 9.5 out of 10 for their own experience of the effects.
The CBD Informative Overall Rating for CBD Infusionz – Broad Spectrum Hemp Oil CBD Tincture with MCT Oil (600 mg) – 9.09
For having stumbled out of the gate at the start of this review with a poor showing in the potency component (which in turn impacted the effects score), the final overall score for the Broad Spectrum Hemp Oil CBD Tincture with MCT Oil (600mg) by CBD Infusionz earned a remarkably respectable 9.09 out of 10. We mentioned earlier that we just reviewed their CBD Fruit Snacks, which also earned a comparably good overall score, showing a nice consistency in product quality. Of the two products, we lean towards the tincture as the better introduction to their line of products. If you haven’t yet read the companion review of the CBD Fruit Snacks, we urge you to do so now to find out that final score and learn which categories fared best in that review.
